Replace Media

Updating images and other uploaded files in your WordPress media library can be a tedious and complicated process, especially if you have to delete and re-upload files with the same name. But that’s no longer the case!

With our new feature, you can easily replace any uploaded file right in the media file editing panel – it’s a simple and efficient process. First, enable this feature. Go to plugin settings, open the “General” tab and toggle on the “Replace media” option.

If done correctly, when you open an item in the media library, a “Replace Image” button will be available.

After clicking on the “Replace Image” button, a dialog box will pop up, prompting you to load the new image. Upload the replacement image, and you’re done! It’s that easy and simple.

Note: Replacing this image with another will permanently delete the current file and overwrite it with the new one. It is also recommended to use the same image size for the new image as the image being replaced, otherwise the recreated thumbnails will have different sizes and names, which may cause links to the old thumbnails to become broken.
